Crepe Myrtle has such attractive bloom color. How lovely that would be to have them cascading over tan-colored stones. I like the bloom on 'Eyecatcher'.

Wasn't that ground cover crepe amazing? I'd never seen one like that before so I knew I HAD to include that in the article.

Yes "eyecatcher" was exactly that! Not sure it would fit it with all my other flowers I had planned but it certainly is attention getting and that seems to be very popular right now in some "trendy" gardens.

My personal style is a bit more old-fashioned wtih roses and deep red flowers and hollyhocks and lavender. :-D

Much more so, yes.

Did you see the series of articles I did on the David Austin English Roses? When I die and go to heaven I want a garden like THAT! *laughing*

I think I may have read an article like that of yours, but I'm not sure. Isn't 'New Dawn' one of his roses? I've seen photos of that rose and have found it to be appealing in the pictures.

I think New Dawn is one he used in his breeding program but not one he specifically bred. It is one that he considers a superior rose though.

I like New Dawn alot too.
